Christmas Countdown.... a new tradition??

Maybe a little premature, but tonight for family home evening we put up the Christmas Tree. Every year I feel like Christmas goes by too quickly, so the Rea family are attempting to prolong the excitment and fun of the Christmas season, just got to get Halloween out of the way.

Speaking of Halloween, the boys headed off to a Youth activity tonight, dressed like this....

  1. That's a very gorgeous tree - but you do know it's October don't you!

  2. That is not even our tree... the true tradition we have is to search for the decorations... so our tree is up, but bare. Don't worry it may not be decorated until December:) It was pretty funny to sit around last night singing Christmas Carols, the little kids loved it... you can imagine the big kids response.

  3. Yip I don't think my Christmas decorations can come out early enough. But Paul put's his foot down so the earliest I am allowed them out is the last Monday in November. Busy trying to finish making my Christmas stocking at the moment.

  4. I think it's a great idea, everyone should do it. I reckon people generally get 'nicer' during the Christmas season and I like 'nice'.

  5. We should all have a Christmas tree viewing night and check out everyone's trees.
I love getting new decorations at the after Christmas sales and then surprising myself when I get the decorations out the next year. I've always forgotten what I got.
